About the Jr. Tigers

Welcome to the Roseville Youth Football Association, Inc.

The Roseville Youth Football Assoc. Inc. (RYFA)  was founded in 1966.  This up coming season will be our 45th season.  Our mascot for 39 years was the Bobcat.  The Bobcats were the only feeder program to many of the high schools in the Placer County area for many years.  In 2005, our 40th year,  we introduced our New Mascot to the City of Roseville, The Roseville Jr. Tigers.  All High Schools in our area have feeder programs. Our community in whole, felt it was important to also have a Jr. Tiger Youth program for our very own Roseville High Tigers.  RYFA is one of the oldest Youth Football Associations in Northern California.  We serve youth girls and boys ages 6-14 in the Greater Roseville Area.

The Jr. Tigers consists of 5 teams that are broken up into age/weight group.  Football has a weight and age criteria and cheer has an age criteria. Football is full contact. Cheerleaders cheer on the sidelines during the season to include playoff games and championship games.  The Cheerleaders then have the opportunity to compete at the end of the season with other associations within our league and out of our league for a Championship title.

The Jr. Tigers play  local teams, in our league called the Sierra Youth Football and Cheer (SYFC).  We will play teams such as Whitney, Granite Bay, Natomas, Placer, Nevada Union, Woodcreek and others.  Our season has 9 regular games, 5 at home and 4 at the opposing teams field. And always the opportunity for playoff games, and Championship games.

RYFA has been very successful in their records.  We have held Championship titles in both Cheer and football.

RYFA also has had past NFL  players such as Dan Bunz, a former San Francisco 49er and many successful college athletes as former members of the Roseville Youth Football.

Jr. Tiger Board Members and coaches are dedicated to make it the best & safe environment possible for your children.  Academics is a strong part of our program.  We strive to teach the importance of education through our Scholar Athlete Program.

The Jr. Tiger organization,  hopes you enjoy watching your child grow, learn, achieve, and succeed in what could be the best experience of their life.

The Tradition Continues in 2010.....
